Powerball jackpot still on the rise, $205.000.000 up for grabs on Saturday

Lotto enthusiasts on both sides of the Atlantic spent the last few days hoping they’ll win millions, but their dreams of lotto fortune didn’t come true. All major lotteries rolled over at the beginning of the week, including Powerball – play now and you could snatch a spectacular $205.000.000 jackpot!

The winning Powerball numbers 22, 23, 29, 33 and 55 with the Power Ball 21 didn’t transform anyone into a millionaire on September 7th. Two ticket holders from Texas and Washington netted $1.000.000 each after matching the five main numbers. Over 650.000 players who participated in Wednesday night’s drawing collected prizes of smaller cash value, totalling to around $6.250.000 in non-jackpot prizes.

Powerball jackpot hasn’t been won since July 30th when one ticket holder from New Hampshire pocketed $487.000.000. The name of the winner still remains a mystery, but it’s known that the golden ticket was sold in the Hannaford’s store in Raymond, which received a $74.000 bonus for selling it. According to the store manager Dan Wilder all the money will be donated to non-profit organizations and charities, including End 68 Hours of Hunger, which was the first.

“This can be game-changing for them to really help out a lot of people, so it was fantastic. I felt like I won the lottery even though I didn’t. If this is as close as I come, I’ll be happy,” said Wilder.
