Canadian woman plans a trip to Harry Potter world after $1.000.000 win

Dream holiday is one of the first things on the wish list of every lottery winner – Maria Stuhlemmer is no exception, but the place she wants to visit isn’t a tropical island or a luxury resort most people would pick. This lucky Canadian woman who scooped a $1.000.000 jackpot plans to use a portion of her prize to visit Harry Potter World in Florida. You can also go anywhere you want to if you manage to win SuperEnaLotto jackpot – play now to grab €144.100.000!

Ms. Stuhlemmer won $1.000.000 in the Lotto Max Maxmillions draw on September 2nd with a ticket she purchased at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Richmond Street in London, Ontario. When she checked the ticket at the store everyone was excited to find out she had won and gathered around to congratulate her. The most exciting moment came when she shared the lucky news with her husband that very evening.

“I asked him to sit down because I needed to talk to him. Right away, he was concerned and then I handed him the validation slip. His eyes widened and he had the biggest smile on his face,” recalled Ms. Stuhlemmer.

Her first stop after the big victory? She’s planning to treat herself to a trip to Harry Potter World at Universal in Florida since she’s a big fan of the popular series. She also intends to use a portion of the prize for a university scholarship, because she “believes in the value of education and investing in the leaders and doctors of tomorrow”. The biggest prize of her new-found fortune, though, will be spent on her family.

“Most importantly though, this win will be shared with my husband and two adult children. Both my kids are at the home-buying stage of their lives and it will be great to get them over that initial hurdle that comes with any big purchase or home renovations,” said the lucky woman.
