Two winners who split $15.000.000 Mega Millions jackpot come forward

It’s been over three months since two players from Georgia and Virginia both matched the winning Mega Millions combination, and we finally know their names. Christina Ford from Dallas and Kevin Young from Bristow came forward only a day apart from each other and both took a $7.500.000 cheque home. Follow in their footsteps and became a millionaire after tonight’s Powerball draw – a magnificent $180.000.000 windfall is up for grabs!

Ford and Young matched the winning numbers 8, 24, 25, 26 and 30, with the Mega Ball 7 back on July 22nd and both described experience of finding out they won $7.500.000 as unbelievable and amazing.

“I thought it was a dream. I kept saying, ‘Yeah, right. This can’t be true,’” recalled Ms. Ford who was watching the draw live on TV. The 64-year-old retiree bought her golden ticket at the Kroger store on Dallas Acworth Highway, and said she will use the prize money to go on a vacation and help out her family.

When it came to checking the golden ticket, Mr. Young used a more modern approach than Ms. Ford and found the numbers online. He didn’t look carefully at first and thought he will end up empty-handed once again, but after rechecking his ticket he noticed something astonishing.

“I went right past it. I saw it and didn’t recognize it. I thought, ‘Didn’t win again,’” recalled Bristow resident and added things changed after he went back to check the numbers and described the experience as “kind of surreal”.
