Four fashion store clerks share $1.000.000 lotto prize

Four clothing store employees from Brighton, Ontario skipped work on Monday but for a very good reason – they were busy collecting a $1.000.000 lotto prize. The winners couldn’t contain their happiness while holding an oversized cheque at the Ontario Lottery Centre, proving that claiming a lotto prize with friends by your side is the best way to do it. Playing Mega Millions with your co-workers could make you feel the same way – team up and win $200.000.000!

The four ladies won the guaranteed $1.000.000 prize in Lotto 6/49 drawing on November 4th, only five days after another syndicate collected over $9.000.000 playing the same game.

“I scanned the ticket on the self-checker and counted all the zeros. I couldn’t believe it,” recalled the group leader Susan Boers while picking the prize at the OLG Prize Centre.

The lucky foursome works together at The Clan Shoppe and it includes Debra Holland, Patricia White St. Georges, Susan Boers and Louise Boers, who is the store owner. After finding out how much money they won, Susan gathered the staff into the fitting room at the store and shared the exciting news. The Clan Shoppe has been a part of their community for a long time and hopefully some extra cash will help them to keep it up and running for years to come.

“We all feel very overwhelmed, grateful and blessed,” said Susan Boers and added they already made plans for their windfall including renovations, travel and saving for retirement.
