Irish syndicate had a blast while collecting €3.900.000 prize

After 12 years of playing lotto together, members of Irish syndicate “The Chosen Few” finally found their names written on an oversized cheque beside the number €3.900.000, won on Irish Lotto. The lucky group counts 10 members, all of whom work together at the Kerry Food’s Cheesestrings division based in Charleville, County Cork. They are another proof that patience pays off when it comes to lottery and $100.000.000 are really worth waiting for – play Powerball to take it home and since Black Friday is finally here, don't forget to prepare yourself with 7 useful shopping tips!

Each member of the syndicate received nearly €400.000 and they already started making plans about the future. One of the winners Eugene O’Sullivan described their epic win as “surreal” and after he came to terms with the news, the 36-year-old winner decided to fulfill his life-long dream of owning a racehorse. Despite the new-found wealth, Eugene said he doesn’t intend to lose sight of what’s really important in life.

“It’s everyone’s dream to win and now that we have won it is fantastic, but true wealth is health and having the health to enjoy this is always number one,” explained O’Sullivan.

All the syndicate members were excited about the news, but the money collector Eilish Hayes was definitely light of the party. She had a blast while collecting the prize – in every sense of the word. Hayes was trying to toast their win when champagne unexpectedly bursts out of the bottle directly into her face.

This didn’t stop her from enjoying the day – she kept her cool and just laughed through it with her fellow winners Dan Downey, Robert Hammersley, Seamus Cawley, Tom Sexton, Jerome Maher, Frankie Finn, Matt McKeogh, David and Eugene O’ Sullivan.
