$292.000.000 Powerball jackpot goes to Florida

Powerball players spent the last two months trying their best to snatch the jackpot, and one player from Florida finally came out victorious in yesterday’s draw. The lucky punter snatched a magnificent $292.000.000 top prize, becoming America’s newest multi-millionaire. The jackpot has been reset to $40.000.000 and we can’t wait to see how long it takes for someone to grab it again – play now and it could be you!

The numbers that enabled this incredible victory on March 2nd were 12, 13, 44, 52 and 62 plus the Power Ball number 6. The entire line was matched by the sole winner from Florida, but Wednesday proved to be a fruitful night for over 1.000.000 players who managed to scoop prizes of smaller value. The luckiest of the bunch was one Californian who became $1.000.000 richer after matching the five main numbers. The sum of all non-jackpot prizes won that night amounts to around $7.300.000.

This is already the second Powerball jackpot that went to the Sunshine State this year. Back on January 13th, Maureen Smith and David Kaltschmidt from Melbourne Beach scooped one third of the record breaking $1.500.000.000 prize. The couple collected their $530.000.000 share about a month later and said they’ll use the money to take care of their family.

Florida was also one of the luckiest places for playing Powerball back in 2015, and one of only three states that produced multiple jackpot winners. Alice Dawson and Orencia Barzey netted $80.000.000 each in two separate drawings in April and June. When it comes to spending their money, they shared the same plan as Ms. Smith and Mr. Kaltschmidt – helping out their family and friends.

Mega Millions currently offers the largest jackpot in the world – play now and make your dreams come true with an outstanding $144.000.000 prize!
