For the last few decades, visionary Dutch company Heesen has built some of the finest superyachts in the world and they’ve made another splash with their newest model Galactica Super Nova. It’s not only one of the most spectacular yachts they’ve ever built, but also the largest one – it’s 70 metres of pure luxury that could make anyone’s head spin.
When the idea of building this magnificent creation emerged back in 2014, it was known by the code name Project Kometa, but it was eventually christened Galactica Super Nova, after its spiritual predecessor Galactica Star. In order to construct this perfect combination of speed, space and style, Heesen teamed up with Espen Oino International. What makes it different from every other yacht in the world is a fusion of three totally different concepts: the revolutionary fast displacement hull, a ground breaking fixed pitch propeller shape and a Rolls Royce central booster jet.
Galactica Super Nova will be able to reach a top speed of 30 knots, but size and efficiency aren’t its only strengths. Twelve guests can be accommodated in absolute luxury across six staterooms with the master suite on the main deck, four guest cabins on the lower deck and a VIP cabin on the wheel house deck. Other key features include the touch-and-go helipad that doubles as an outdoor cinema, and the 13.500 litre infinity pool with waterfall, glass-panelled bottom and spa jets for hydro massage. The upper deck combines with the sky lounge to create an enormous indoor/outdoor entertainment area, perfect for enjoying long nights under the stars.
Galactica Super Nova will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2016 and if you dream about being on its deck one day, play Powerball to win $227.000.000!
