Fifth largest jackpot in Powerball history worth $487.000.000 goes to New Hampshire

After weeks and weeks of anticipation for their Powerball numbers to be drawn, the dream of becoming a multi-millionaire finally became a reality for one lucky player last night. A fortunate New Hampshire resident scooped a mesmerizing $487.000.000 windfall on Saturday, which is also the fifth largest jackpot ever offered since the game’s inception.

The winning Powerball combination that enabled this incredible victory on July 30th consisted of the numbers 11, 17, 21, 23 and 32 with the Power Ball 5. The entire line was matched by one participant from New Hampshire, but the drawing also produced several Match 5 winners in many American states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington and West Virginia. They ended up winning $1.000.000 each when they missed the jackpot by only one digit – the Power Ball number. One lucky ticket holder Pennsylvania matched the same numbers, but snatched twice as much thanks to using the Power Play option. The drawing also produced a total of over 2.800.000 winners who netted around $39.000.000 in non-jackpot prizes.

This is currently the fourth time that a New Hampshire resident managed to win a Powerball jackpot and the first time it happened since April 2007 when Dale Chellis and Toni Sergott took $67.000.000 home. The list of Powerball winners from this state also includes The Bow Trust, the collectors of a $85.500.000 windfall from February 2004, and Aeetos Trust, Rosemary and Lawrence Centola, who claimed $135.600.000 all the way back in April 2003.

Powerball jackpot may be off the table, but an amazing SuperEnaLotto windfall is still up for grabs – play now and you could end up €116.700.000 richer!
