Teacher wins a $100.000 Powerball prize after returning from summer break

Ruth Pederson has been working as a middle school teacher for over two decades, but it seems like this school year is going to be the best one yet. Shortly after coming back from summer vacation, the fortunate Grand Forks resident scooped an impressive $100.000 Powerball prize. The jackpot is still up for grabs – play now to become $170.000.000 richer!

The lucky teacher had a wonderful first day at work after realizing her Powerball ticket turned her into a winner of the 100.000 windfall. The self-described occasional lottery player was absent from the classroom on the second day, when she went to Bismarck to collect her fortune.

“It was the perfect start to the school year. I couldn’t have asked for a better start. It was really hard to leave and know a substitute was there taking care of my kids, but the principal told me to go!" recalled the lucky woman.

According to her, the greatest part of the whole experience was getting to share the lucky news with others and watch their reactions. People usually laughed and said it’s really fun to finally hear some good news. When it comes to spending the prize money, Pederson will use it to do a “little remodelling project on her house”, and save the rest.

“It’s not going to change my life, but what it does is it gives me a little breathing room. I really thank my lucky stars and I thank God – I’ve hardly unfolded my hands in prayer, I’m so grateful,” said the teacher.

You could leave all financial worries behind after the next SuperEnaLotto draw – a life-changing €132.200.000 jackpot awaits!
