Latest Powerball draw that failed to produce a jackpot winner took place this Wednesday night. The winning line drawn on May 30th consisted of the numbers 17, 23, 26, 46 and 68 with the Power Ball 20, but they weren’t particularly lucky for anyone. None of the players managed to snatch a Match 5 prize either, and the largest cash reward won that night amounted to $100.000. It was scooped by a single ticket holder who missed the jackpot by one of the main numbers, while using the Power Play option. Wednesday night’s draw produced around 416.000 winners who collected a total of over 2.612.000 in non-jackpot prizes.
Powerball has been rolling over since May 19th when a mystery player from New Jersey scooped a gigantic $315.300.000 windfall. John M. White, acting executive director of the New Jersey Lottery, congratulated the winner and encouraged them to keep the ticket in a safe place before contacting the lottery officials. The ticket was purchased at the ShopRite grocery store, located on River Street in Hackensack. They received a $30.000 bonus for selling it and the chief executive officer Larry Inserra Jr. said they’ll donate the cheque to charity. Maria Teves, a spokeswoman for ShopRite, stated they’re very happy that their store helped someone become a millionaire.
“We’re very excited. This is an outstanding, tremendous event for the store, the community and obviously the lucky winner,” said Teves.
