Bourgeois and Wishard matched the winning line consisting of the numbers 6, 10, 11, 23, 42 and 47 in the Lotto 6/49 draw on March 11th. Before this life-changing night, the couple was worried about not being able to pay their bills on time, but after realizing they had a winning ticket in their possession fear turned into hope.

“We were in our travel trailer, which we live in, when we checked our numbers. We couldn’t believe it was us. I was checking the ticket online and saw we had one number. Then two and then all six. This is just surreal and unbelievable!” said the 48-year old Bourgeois, and added they celebrated the victory by drinking a case of beer.

The winners met seven years ago, when they were both employees of the travelling carnival company the West Coast Amusements. Ms. Wishard was recently laid off, while Mr. Bourgeois got a new job as a truck driver – but they won’t have to worry about their jobs every again. The $7.000.000 win will allow them to retire early, take care of their families, travel – and finally get a house!

“Six years living in a trailer is enough. We will definitely be looking at buying a home now. Just something small – don’t have to be a half a million dollars, even a double-wide trailer that’s brand new is good enough for me,“ explained Mr. Bourgeois.
